Now (March 04, 2013) is a terrible time to buy a PS3. We all but know that there is a price cut coming in, at most, a few months but that price cut hasn't happened yet. Buying a PS3 now instead of 2 or 3 months from now would be wasting money.

The author of this article agrees with me. He titled his article "Why Now is a Good Time to Buy a PS3", but then in the body of that article he goes on to say, "If you haven’t picked up a PS3 just yet, or if yo...

We were going to release FFvsXiii but instead we decided to give you FF13-4 "Lightning still going"

P.S.

But we still won't fill in the plot gaps that were left in the original FF13.

The more news I hear, the more time that passes, the more I think that the PS4 launch model(s) will be backwards compatibility. With the amount of games releasing this year people are going to have to decide whether they want a PS3 or a PS4. With lots of new PS3 games releasing this year and what will not doubt be a cheaper price, many people will choose the PS3 even though they have money for a PS4. Sony won't want to leave that money on the table. Not too mention that the most fait...

Games that are released later on a different platform never sell well. The only exception that I can think of is Ninja Gaiden Sigma 1 which sold better on PS3 than on Xbox (original). However, those two systems were a generation apart. And hack n' slash games on Playstation always outperform the Xbox version.

Or perhaps a PS4 will be able to play the PS3 version of the game. That would explain it as well, wouldn't it?

I am leaning, strongly, towards believing that Sony was lying when they said that the PS4 would not play PS4 games, at least the launch version of the PS4. If GT6 is, indeed, going to be PS3 only then I will take that as another piece of evidence that I am correct. It makes no sense for Sony to sell a new machine and not allow their most loyal fans, the ones w...

%#@K That.

"How long will it be before we see cg breasts that don't look like they are full-to-bursting with silicone?"

Why would I want to see real looking breasts in video game? I can see real looking breasts in real life. I can see female characters with actual human proportions in real life. Why would I want the male characters to be scrawny or fat? Most men look like that in real life, even the ones who were the picture of fitness when ...

I meant backwards compatible "at launch". I said that in post #3 but, I made a typo in post 3.2.1 and left those two words out. I apologize for the mistake. For now and in the future whenever I refer to backwards compatibility remember that I mean earlier in the console life cycle, such as at launch and in the first 2 years of the life cycle.

I don't want a PS4 solely for backwards compatibility. I want a PS4 because I want a PS4. I wanted a PS3 at launch b...

My issue is not solely about backwards compatiblity but rather with the entire PS3 vs. PS4 decision. However BC does go to the issue of getting the most value for my money. So I want to spend a few paragraphs discussing it.

I ASSUME THAT COMPANIES SAY WHAT IS IN THEIR BEST INTEREST TO SAY. I do not expect them to tell the whole truth so that everyone can make an informed decision. There is a big gap between "saying something that is true" and "telling the w...

Or for about $10 you could just buy the game from someone who has it on disc and doesn't play it anymore, and save your hard drive space.

@BoNeSaW23

I do all my gaming on the PS3, or at least I did until someone stole mine. Now I am looking to replace it; or at least I was, until Sony announced the PS4. Now I have to decide between buying a PS3 or waiting and buying a PS4.

I was set to replace my PS3. But I'm not going to risk paying $250 ($300 if I get a bundle) on a PS3 only to have the PS4 release for $400 a few months later. I can't afford to waste money like that. Sony needs...

Sony needs to give some guidance on the pricing of the PS4 and its release date, if they expect to sell any more PS3's in the meantime.

I was literally set to buy a PS3 this month. Then when the PS4 announcement happened I had to stop and wait. A PS3 normally sells for $249. Newegg has one on sale for $219. But the prevailing thought is that the PS4 will sell for $400 - $450 and will release sometime this year. I can't justify spending $250 on a PS3 in February,...

If anything I think the combination of games costing $60 and online multiplayer is what is doing it. Both things lead to people buying fewer games. A used game market actually helps games sales.

Online multiplayer lets people play the games that they already have for a longer period of time.

People don't buy as many games when they cost as much. Without getting into broader economic theory, I will just say that this is a function of a simple supply a...

Is Gamestop facing extinction,...YOU WISH. Not that I have intense love for Gamestop. But owning your game on a disc is still superior to owning the game on as a download from Xbox Live or PSN.

They have to do it soon. I am personally without a PS3. As all my games are on PS3 as I was going to get another one this month. I was going to get the Crystal White version by the last week of February / 1st week of March. Now, that PS4 is around the corner I have to stop to reconsider.

I can't afford to spend $300 on a PS3 in March only to have the PS4 release for $400 in September. So what is the best thing to do?

Well, the smart thing to do i...

I have been planning to subscribe to PS Plus. I think that when I do I'll have to join the EU version instead of the North American version. Just in the past 4 months the EU will have gotten Arkham City, Mass Effect 3, and DOA 5. I can't recall the North American Store getting anything that I would have bought on my own.

I like the convex (domed) analog sticks. It is a function of surface area and how you touch the stick. How you touch the stick has to do with what type of gamer you are and what type of games you usually play.

I just reach with my thumb and touch the stick and move it as soon as I feel my thumb make contact. That means that if I have a concave stick that I am only going to make contact with the edge of the stick, but if I have a convex stick my thumb will touch the stick...
